Raabta (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a matrimonial app operated by Mohammad Raza. The legal name is HUSSAM MUHAMMAD. Raabta is for serious rishtas. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Raabta, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account & contact details. Phone number used to sign in (via WhatsApp OTP), and profile information you provide (name, age, gender, marital status, education, location, family details, preferences, and similar fields).
• Photos & media. Profile photos and other media you upload, including any verification images you submit.
• Messages & requests. Connection requests, chats, phone-share requests, and related in-app activity needed to operate matching and communication.
• Contacts (optional). If you choose to hide from people you know, we may process hashed phone numbers from your address book solely for that privacy feature.
• Device & notifications. Device identifiers and push notification tokens (e.g. Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send alerts you enable.
• Usage & diagnostics. App analytics and crash data (e.g. via Firebase) to improve reliability and product quality.
• Purchases. Subscription and plan status tied to your account. Payment card details are processed by Apple, Google, or other payment providers — not stored by Raabta.

2. How we use information

• Create and manage your account and profile
• Show matching profiles and process requests and chats
• Apply privacy controls (photo visibility, hide from contacts, contact rules)
• Send OTPs, push notifications, and service messages
• Process subscriptions and enforce plan entitlements
• Prevent abuse, spam, and fraud; moderate content when needed
• Improve the app and fix issues
• Comply with law and enforce our terms

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed:

• Other users. Profile details and photos according to your visibility settings; messages with people you connect with; phone number only if you choose to share it.
• Service providers. Hosting, databases, file storage, WhatsApp/OTP delivery, push notifications, analytics, and app store billing partners who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
• Legal. When required by law, or to protect users, rights, or safety.

4. Your choices & controls

• Edit or delete profile fields and photos in the app
• Control photo visibility and who may contact you
• Block users and hide from selected contacts
• Turn off push notifications in device settings
• Request account deletion or data help by contacting us (see below)

5. Retention

We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce policies, and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it by law or for legitimate safety reasons.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong device lock and share personal details carefully.

7. Children’s privacy

Raabta is for adults seeking marriage. The service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. International processing

Your information may be processed on servers in countries other than where you live. We take steps intended to protect it in line with this policy and applicable law.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of Raabta after changes means you accept the updated policy.
